Edward Miller Jr., 63, of Jacksonville, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015. He was born on April 8, 1952 in Jackson, Mississippi. Mr. Miller served his country for twenty years in the United States Air Force, working as an Air Traffic Controller before retiring as a Master Sergeant. During his military career he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management/Human Resources from Park College in Parkville, Missouri. He also received a Master's Degree in Management/Human Resources from the University of Arkansas. Following his retirement from the U.S.A.F., he worked for and retired from the Veterans Affairs office in North Little Rock. Edward loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved listening to a variety of music, was an excellent amateur photographer, and L-O-V-E-D fast beautiful sports cars. Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Mattie Copland. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rileyetta (Cooper) Miller; children, Kian Miller (Kelley) and Ashley Miller; brother, Lee Copeland; sisters, Phyllis Willis and Janis Thomas (Frank); grandchildren, Kaidyn and Kingston Miller; as well as extended family and friends. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 1 p.m. in Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel, 1504 Loop Road, Jacksonville (501) 982-2136. Visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2015 from 6 until 7 p.m., also at the funeral home.
