William Edward Powell IV (Bill), of Benton, passed on July 7, 2015 at 6pm in Little Rock of an aneurism of the brain. He was born on February 25, 1965 in Lakewood NJ, to Bill and Elinor Powell. He graduated from NLR Old Main High in 1983, and enlisted in the US Navy shortly after. He served several years, before transferring his service to the Arkansas National Guard. He served our Country for 28.5 years, serving combat tours in the Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He retired as a Master Sergeant and was awarded numerous medals and accommodations. He is survived by his Wife Patti Lynn (Mitchell) Powell, children Cory, Brittney, Brandon and Billy. Also, his parents Bill and Jeannette Powell, mother Elinor Hallstrom, and siblings Millie Hall, Stacey McCarthy, Richard Powell, Matt Powell, Chuck Sandquist, Sandy Griffith, and Sue Fisher, nieces Samara Rooks, Rachael Musselman, Madison Powell and Reagan Powell, nephews John Lindahl, Kent McCarthy, Ronnie Fisher, Darien Griffith, Will Lipp, Mason Powell, and Jackson Powell. There will be a celebration of Bill's life at The Circle P Ranch (4002 FairPlay Rd.) in Benton on Saturday July, 18 at 10:30 a.m. At 6:40 a.m. the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association and the Patriot Guard Rider will be escorting Master Sargent Powell from Conway to Circle P Ranch for his service. In honor of Bill's love for the Razorbacks, we ask all those attending to wear their Razorback apparel. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated.
