Allen W. Mixon

Allen W. Mixon, age 69, of Dermott passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Allegiance Hospital in Greenville, Miss. Mr. Mixon was born March 10, 1946 in McGehee, Ark. He is the son of the late Rogers Sr. and the late Flora Mae (O'Connor) Mixon. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War which he received a Purple Heart, and Bronze Star. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Mark Allen Mixon, and three brothers. He is survived by three daughters: Renee and Jack Brasher of Sherwood, Beverly Mixon of Dermott, Becky and Aaron Pettit of Benton; three brothers and six sisters, three grandchildren, Jessica Brasher, Devin Brasher, and Denver Pettit. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 20 at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village, with Bro. Phillip Payne officiating. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, July 19 at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village. Burial will follow in McArthur Cemetery, in McGehee, Ark. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village, Ark.
