Marie Betty Harmon

Marie N. "Betty" Harmon, age 79, of Wye Mountain, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015. She was born September 17, 1935, a daughter of the late H.A. Hill and Ruth Freeman Hill. She was a homemaker and member of the Wye Mountain United Methodist Church and the Wye Extension Homemakers Club. She was the widow of Charles U. Harmon. Survivors include her sons, David (Cindy) Harmon of Wye Mountain, Ross (Debbe) Harmon of Little Rock, and Alan (Denise) Harmon of Wye Mountain; sister, Macel (Sonny) Davis of Stoney Point; brothers, Garland (Nancy) Hill of Bigelow, and Mickey (Barbara) Hill of Stoney Point; sister-in-law, Kay Hill of Newark, Ohio; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Wye Mountain United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Gifford officiating. Burial will be at Wye Mountain Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at the funeral home in Morrilton.
