Waneva Spann

Waneva Hicks Spann, 89 years old of Hensley, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Waneva was born June 27, 1926 in Saline County. She was a member of East End Baptist Church, Dorcus Sunday School Class and member of Bryant Senior Citizen Center. Waneva was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin C. and Mamie Wells Hicks, brothers, Clifford, Harvey and W.C. Hicks, sister, Della Sisk and husband, Bill. She is survived by her brother, Hollis Hicks and wife, Bobbie, many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. A special friend, Farrell Richardson, sisters in law, Tilma Hicks and Gertie Spann. Waneva loved her many relatives and friends very much. Church services will be 11 a.m. Friday at East End Baptist Church by Ashby Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in East End. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at East End Baptist Church before services on Friday.
