Mary Dell Phillips, 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. She was born on November 23, 1921, in Stephens, Arkansas to parents William Avery Terrell and Mary (Mollie) Wade Nicholson Terrell. Growing up on the family farm she developed a deep love for the beauty of nature. Her life demonstrated a deep commitment to her faith, family, and friends. Mary Dell was a member of South Side Baptist Church of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Willie C. Phillips; her parents; three brothers, John Hollis Terrell, Arthur Earle Terrell and Elmer Nelson Terrell; and four sisters, Pauline Terrell Williams, Faye Terrell Wofford, Lillian Terrell Cox, and Kathleen Terrell Neely. Survivors include two sons, Charles Phillips and his wife Fran, of the Woodlands, Texas, and Ronnie Phillips and his wife Betty, of Fordyce, Arkansas; granddaughters, Jennifer Wiatt and Mieka Phillips of the Woodlands, Texas; grandsons, Gregory Phillips of Bentonville, Arkansas, Christopher Phillips of Bauxite, Arkansas, and Michael Phillips of Benton, Arkansas, and 10 great-grandchildren. Mary Dell enjoyed life, loved to laugh, and was committed to praying for others. Those whose life she touched were truly blessed. Visitation will be Saturday, July 25, 2015, at 9 a.m. at Ralph Robinson and Sons Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and the funeral will immediately follow the visitation at 10 a.m. with Rev. Rusty Ross of Fordyce First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
