Marion Lee "Jack" Armstrong, 76, of Benton passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant. He was born November 20, 1938 in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late Joseph and Minnie Eva Snow Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong retired from First Electric Coop. as a journeyman lineman and was a member of First Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Besides his parents, Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph and Wayne Armstrong and sisters, Virginia Guess and Janice and Helen Armstrong. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Evelyn Armstrong of Benton; three sons, Jeff (Melinda) Armstrong, Bruce (Anitta) Armstrong, and Steven (Christina) Armstrong all of Benton; two sisters, Alice Scarlott of Mechanicstown, Ohio and Norma Wellman of Carrollton, Ohio; five grandchildren, Brent, Sara, Erica, Monica, and Jill Armstrong, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2015 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Dr. Rick Grant officiating. Interment will follow in Old Rosemont Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Paul Halley, Tae Kim, Danny Ivy, Randy Holford, Randy Petty, and Rick Petty. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon, July 26th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 211 S. Market, Benton, Ark. 72015. The family would like to also express their special thanks to the staff of Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House for the loving care Jack received.
