Carl Fredrick Grummer Jr., 69, of Little Rock, passed away July 26, 2015. He was born February 8, 1946 to Carl F. Grummer Sr. and Florence Beshara Grummer, and was a member of Our Lady of Holy Souls Catholic Church. Carl was a 1964 graduate of Subaico Academy and earned his Bachelor and Master's degrees from the University of Central Arkansas. He taught in the Little Rock School District for 38 years, was Teacher of the Year, and the first CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) teacher in the district. He was an avid duck hunter, a member of Ducks Unlimited, an extremely skilled wood worker, and active in what is now Skills USA. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Dinah Grummer; daughter, Andrea Rabeneck and husband, Brandon of Little Rock; stepsons, Shawn Kessler of Benton, Todd Kessler and wife, Susan of Searcy, and Jeremy Kessler and wife, Angela of Little Rock; and grandchildren, Drew Lawrence, Madelle Kessler, Haeden Rabeneck and Eben Rabeneck; three brothers, Gerald Grummer (Andrea), Robert Grummer (Lou Ann) and Mark Grummer (Sherry); and five sisters, Angela Rogers (Stan), Catherine Seidl (Erwin), Olga Luyet (Jim), Marguerite Brewer (Larry) and Theresa Dodson (Jim). Visitation will be Thursday, July 30 beginning at 6 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Tom Marks on Friday, July 31 at 11 a.m. at Holy Souls Catholic Church.
