Dorothy Squires Meuwly, August 26, 1911-July 25, 2015, was born near Benton, Arkansas. She lived most of her life in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is survived by her only son, Billy Lynn Meuwly, his sons, Michael S. Meuwly and Jerald S. Meuwly and their families. She is also survived by her nieces, Alice Anne Parr and Myriam Squires Carter, nephews, William Kevin Squires and William Dean Parr II, grandnephews, Rusty Dewayne Squires and John William Parr, one grandniece and two great-grandnieces. Dorothy and her husband, James A. Meuwly, owned and operated Meuwly Machine Works, Inc. which began in 1914 and still operates today. Dorothy was a self-taught accountant and office manager. She and her husband Jim were married 59 years and she assisted him in his business until he was called home in December of 1990. She never retired and continued to oversee the business. She kept up with current local and world news and enjoyed nature and the dawning of a new day. She liked to read God's Word and also wrote poetry. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Christ The King.
