James Robert Volner

James Robert Volner, age 69, of West Memphis, Arkansas went to his heavenly home on Sunday, July 26, 2015. He was a member of Cypress Avenue Baptist Church in Marion, Arkansas. James was born July 1, 1946, the son of John Allen Volner, Sr. and Verona (Ripley)Volner. He served our country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed going to Biscoe to visit all his friends there. That was one of his highlights in his life. James was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Allen Volner Jr. He is survived by his wonderful wife of 46 years, Willa (Cook) Volner; son, Jeff Volner and wife, Penny of West Memphis, Arkansas and one brother, Don (Patricia) Volner of Atoka, Tennessee. He will be greatly missed by lots of relatives and friends. Funeral service will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Hazen, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Hazen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cypress Avenue Baptist Church in Marion, Arkansas or the charity of your choice.
