Mother Velma Jackson

Mother VELMA JACKSON, 90, of Jacksonville, Ark., departed this life on Wednesday, July 23, 2015. Mother Jackson was an active member of Mt. Sinai Christian Church, where she served faithfully before her declining health. Mother Jackson is predeceased by her parents, James and Minnie Williams; her husband, Jake Jackson Sr.; two children, Carolyn L. Mack and Robert L. Martin; three siblings: Hattie Walker, Ernestine Harper, and James Willie Williams. She leaves to rejoice in her home going three children: Velma L. Raymond of Oakland, Calif., Patricia D. Thompson of Jacksonville, Ark., and Jake Jackson of Little Rock, Ark. Family hour will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 6-7 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Christian Church, 522 Hickory Street, North Little Rock, Ark. 72114. The home-going ceremony will also be held at Mt. Sinai Christian Church on August 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lonoke, Ark.
