Nora Bernice "MeMaw" Hobbs

Nora Bernice "MeMaw" Hobbs, 90, of Dermott, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, July 29. 2015. She was born on July 27, 1925 in Enon, Ark. to the late William Henry and Ella Mae Burton Gober. "MeMaw" was a Teachers Aid at Dermott Public Schools for many years. She loved to camp, fish, and she enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables, and cooking. "MeMaw" loved spending time with her grandchildren and helping take care of others. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Hobbs; son, Lonnie "Bo" Hobbs; daughter, Rhonda Gail Snow; brothers, Ernest Gober, Olen Gober, Pete Gober, and Bill Gober. Survivors include her sister, Marie Gober (Sonny) Bynum of Hot Springs, Ark.; three grandchildren, Jodi (Chip) Lang of McGehee, Ark., Todd Snow of Hot Springs, Ark., and Jason (Sarah)Hobbs of McGehee, Ark.; six great-grandchildren, Lonni, Lilli, Ella Lang, Madilynn, Kinsley, and Bo Hobbs; daughter-in-law, Annette Hobbs Standridge and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 10-11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Temple Baptist Church in Dermott, Ark. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Temple Baptist Church in Dermott, Ark. with Rev. Jody Gannaway and Rev. Fred Gay officiating. Burial will be at Dermott Cemetery in Dermott, Ark.
