Howard Mayberry, 84, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away May 30, 2015. He was born June 1, 1930, in Washita, Arkansas, to the late Ronnie and Effie (Smith) Mayberry. Howard was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church and worked in school administration for 30 years. He was also retired from the Corp of Engineers. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Wyona Rowton. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Loyce (Lavender) Mayberry of Hot Springs; son, Rick Mayberry (Gina) of Hot Springs; sister, Mavis Keener of Amity; twin granddaughters, Stephanie Nation (Josh), Samantha Mayberry; great-grandchild, Kynlee Ann Nation; Buddy (family dog) Mayberry; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, Mayburn and Cheryl Miller, LaDonna Stephenson, and a host of friends. Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at New Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. George Whitney officiating. Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery. Pallbearers are Larry Harrison, Doug Noles, Donald Rowton, Richard Trantham, Ernest Huff, and Josh Nation. Honorary pallbearers include Arkansas Hospice and Staff, Dr. Koehn, Brenda McDaniel, Dave Noles, Cheryl Miller, Betty Rowton, and LaDonna Stephenson.
