Ralph W. Day

Ralph W. Day, 89, of Bella Vista, Ark. died Monday, June 1, 2015. He was born on May 8, 1926 in Summersville, Mo. to Ralph Waldon and Mable (Medor) Day. He had lived in Bella Vista for 23 years, coming from California where he had lived for 30 years. He retired from McDonald-Douglas after working 35 years. He was a member of the genealogy group at the Bella Vista Computer Club and the Men's 9 Hole Golf. He was also a life-member of the Douglas El Segundo Rod and Gun Club. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home; one son, Ronald Kent Day and wife Penelope of Fayetteville, Ark.; step-daughter, Sharon Hammer of California; step-son, Howard Leven of Arizona; brother, Jack Day and wife Linda; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. 72715 at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015. Chaplain Chuck Bengtson will officiate. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the V.A. National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.
