Roy B. Barry Pennington

Roy B. Barry Pennington, 71 of Stephens, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was born on February 5, 1944 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to the late LeRoy and Lynda Maude (Hunter) Pennington. He graduated from Mabelvale High School in 1962, received a BS in Accounting from Uof A in 1967, a Master's in Education in 1969 and was the Counselor for Stephens High School from 1969 to 1978. Roy retired after a 20 year partnership with his wife Betty where they owned and operated Foxborugh Ceremic Manufacturing. He was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Treasurer. Roy is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of forty four years, Betty Pennington of Stephens; three children, Lynda Dean and husband Nick of Bryant, Arkansas, Jerry Pennington and wife Judy of Rison, Arkansas; and five grandchildren, Bailey Dean of Bryant, Kyle and Ethan Pennington of Rison, and Kristol Anderson and Jessica Mason of Pine Bluff. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Helm and Bro. James Calhoun officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Atchley Cemetery near Arkadelphia, Arkansas under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
