Allyn Gaskin Maher

Allyn Gaskin Maher of Springdale, Arkansas was born January 20, 1948 and welcomed into Heaven May 30, 2015. She is predeceased by parents, Allen and Theresa Gaskin, daughter, Mindy Lynn, brother-in-law, Patrick Singletary, and mother-in-law, Dorothy Maher. She is survived and still loved by husband of 41 years, George, daughters, Shannon (husband Heath) and Amy, four grandloves, sisters, Sandra and Kathy, and countless family members and friends. Allyn grew up in Springdale, a graduate of Springdale High School and the University of Arkansas. She met her true love and started a family in Houston before returning to Springdale to raise them. The couple returned to Texas to follow their grandloves. Allyn was passionate about her family and friends. She always had an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, and a smile to cheer you. She leaves a legacy of unconditional love. Visitation 9 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, services at 10 a.m. at Backstrom-Pyeatte, Springdale. Burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Gentry, Arkansas.
