Dorothy Grable

Dorothy Norma Gean Grable, affectionately known as "Dottie", 82, of Little Rock, passed away, Sunday, May 31st, in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones. Born 1933, in Kansas City Kansas to Mrs. Helen Hanners-Gray. She was preceded in death by her late husband Darion Lane Grable, also know as "Pappy." Survived by her four children; three sons; Bill, Chuck & Rick and one daughter, Teresa; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one sister, Jo Ann Coats. Always a strong businesswoman, Dorothy's early years were spent raising her children and running a very successful hair salon. The later were spent with her beloved husband and business partner Pappy running The Longbranch Saloon, a local tavern that today, after 40+ years is known nation wide. Dorothy did life with unsurpassed class and grace. She loved her family. Dorothy always felt that "Charity began at home" and often spent time trying to better the neighbor conditions in the area of town near her home where she and her husband rented homes to local tenants. People loved Dottie. Her beauty and personality always left a lasting impression. She was momma to everyone and many will miss her dearly. Rosewood Cremation and Funeral in charge of arrangements.
