Wanda Joyce Medlin Wessels

Wanda Joyce Medlin Wessels, 73, of White Hall, died Saturday, June 6, 2015. She was born December 17, 1941 in Star City, Arkansas, daughter of William and Mary Frances Culpepper Medlin. Mrs. Wessels was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Dollarway High School in 1960. She owned and operated The Corner Grocery and Market in Pine Bluff with her husband, Lloyd Wessels and their son, Mitch. Mrs. Wessels was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She faithfully taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School while living in Oklahoma. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family and bird watching. Mrs. Wessels was preceded in death by her parents and a grandchild, Spencer Ryan Wessels. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Wessels of White Hall; sons, Michael "Mike" Wessels and his wife, Elaine, of Rowlett, Texas and their children, Dusty, Tim, Mitchell (Lauren) and Nick Wessels; and Mitchell "Mitch" Wessels and his wife, Pam, of White Hall and children, Cara (D.J.) Howard, Evan Wessels, Mike Wessels and Autumn Baugh; daughter, Misty Dawn Revoir and her husband, Charles of Rogers and their children, Emily, Lindsey, Molly and Abby; two sisters, Mary "Allie" LaBorde of Vidalia, Louisiana and Leigh Ross of Africa; and two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Aubree Howard. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Dean Clausing officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Robinson's.
