Jack Wilburn Adcock was born November 20, 1939 in Altus, Arkansas to the late Wilburn and Lois Adcock. Surrounded by friends and family, on Saturday, June 6, he slipped peacefully into heaven. He graduated from Tech High in Little Rock, Arkansas and married his high school sweetheart, Joan Boveia. This month they would have celebrated 57 years of marriage. Jack served in the Arkansas Air National Guard. He worked for Little Rock Wholesale and Newell Companies as a sales rep. for many years. He most recently worked for Expressway Parking. Jack loved cars. His hobby and joy for many years was rebuilding automobiles and he was very good at it! He knew so much about cars and that was probably his favorite topic of conversation. He also loved animals- especially his pets. Jack was a founding member of Midtowne Church where he served faithfully every week. Jack is survived by his wife, Little Rock City Director, Joan Adcock. He is survived by his son, Dr. Ty Adcock (Cheri) of Joplin, Missouri and his daughter, Nancy Pruitt (Doug) of Little Rock. Jack was blessed with ten grandchildren, Caleb (Rachel), Sarah, Jacob (Angeleah), Gabriel (Sage), Anna, Mary, Noah Adcock and Sterling (Karlee), Melody and Chandler Pruitt. He also had the joy of being Great Grandpa to Joscelyn and Owen. He is survived by a sister, Janice Russell of Pine Bluff, brother, Jerry Adcock of Bryant and preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Green. As Jack requested, his visitation and service will be held at Midtowne Church in Benton where he will be placed in his usual Sunday morning spot. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of Jack's life at noon. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Little Rock Animal Village, 4500 Kramer Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204 would be appreciated.
