John Louis Moody, age 73, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 at his home with his loving family surrounding him. He was born January 15, 1942 in Pine Bluff, Ark. to the late W.F. "Jack" and Stacy Gertrude Moody. He Graduated from White Hall High School in 1960 and attended college at University of Arkansas at Monticello. Later joining the U.S. Army and serving in the Korean War from 1962-1965. After the war he moved to Camden, Ark. in 1977 and worked for Curtis Long Ford and then Chicopee/Arquest from 1979 until retirement in 2008. On June 25, 1985 John married the love of his life, Donna Lynn Word. His hobbies included hunting and fishing especially with his sons Jeffrey and Justin. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He will be forever loved and forever missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Donna Word Moody of Camden, Ark.; son, Greg Moody and wife, Sha of White Hall, Ark.; daughter, Kelly Cannon and husband, Joe of White Hall, Ark.; sons, Jeffrey and Justin Moody of Camden, Ark.; grandchildren, Drew Moody, Jon Michael Moody, Thomas Moody, Clay Cannon, and Alec Hartz; great-grandchild, Kayden Moody; mother-in-law, Doris Word; sister, Susan Robinson and husband, Ronnie of Hot Springs, Ark.; brother, David Moody and wife, Gwen of North Little Rock, Ark. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Harmony Grove Cemetery in Camden, Ark. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
