Jessie retired from Armstrong Tool. She was a hard worker and was never still. After retirement from Armstrong Tool, she worked as a custodian for Bee Branch Public Schools. Jessie loved flowers and had many varieties in her yard. She was well known for her kind and caring ways and she was a caregiver to many people. Jessie loved the Lord and always strived to do what was right. She was quick to lend a helping hand to anyone she knew who was in need. Many times when she heard of a complete stranger who had nowhere to go and no one to share Christmas or Thanksgiving meals with, she invited them to her table. Jessie believed in and found the good in everyone. Jessie was an amazing cook, and enjoyed making new recipes for everyone to sample. She collected cookbooks and was the proud owner of several hundred cookbooks. She loved antiques of all kinds, furniture, dishes, and especially ‘antique' people like herself who was "raised the right way to work hard and make do with what you have, be respectful, helpful and never forget where you came from". Mom, Nanny, friend, we love you, we miss you. We will cherish the precious memories you gave us to tide us over until we meet again in Heaven.
