Betty Lou (Wright) McCollum, 86, of Conway, went to be with the Lord, Monday, June 15, 2015. She was born February 23, 1929 in Russellville, Ark., to the late William T. and Zelma Wright. Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Osburn McCollum, son, William "Bill" McCollum and brother, Ernie Wright. Betty was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was an avid Razorback fan who enjoyed word search puzzles, decorating, and taking care of her flower garden. Betty remained active in her later years, traveling, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a great friend to many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Betty is survived by her sons, Joe Donald McCollum (Louise) of Conway, Kenny "Pup" McCollum (Jill) of Greenbrier, one daughter, Laura McNaughton (Johnny) of Vilonia, sisters, Clara Brickler, Helen Mowrer, Bobbie Palmer, Linda May, Judy Anderson, Williene Mooningham, and Sue Nixon, three brothers, Euel Wright, Bill Wright, and Jerry Wright, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her very dear friend, Phe Parks. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18th at LifeSong Baptist Church, with Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox and Don Bingham officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be David Joe McCollum, Chris McCollum, Coleman McCollum, Kameron Fox, Garrett McCollum and James Mann. Honorary pallbearers will be Betty's brothers and sisters and her late husband, Joe's sisters. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
