Johnnie Walter Kelley Sr., 80, of Lonoke passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015. He was born December 14, 1934 in Georgetown, Louisiana to George and Mary Neighbors Kelley. He served in the United States Air Force, retired from Arkansas Democrat Newspaper after 46 years, and was of the Baptist faith. His passion was his grandchildren, job, music and dancing. He is survived by three children, Johnnie Kelley, Jr. (Belinda), Nelson "Danny" Kelley and Laura "Kathryn" Potter (David); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Dolores Matthews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ira Burl, C.W. and Grover Kelley and two sisters, Wilma Rummel and Velma Carson. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 909 West 2nd Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201 and American Lung Association, 211 Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. A graveside service with military honors will be held 11 a.m., Friday, June 19th at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
