Billy Sharp, 65, of Traskwood, passed away June 17, 2015. He was born August 23, 1949 in Columbus, Mississippi to John Horace and Edna Trimm Sharp. Billy was the owner of Dubs' Muffler and Brake Shop for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. Billy served as City Council Member and Alderman for Traskwood over 10 years. He was preceded in death by his father, John Horace Sharp, brothers, Johnny, Tommy and Jessie Sharp. Billy is survived by his wife, Sandra Sharp of Traskwood, sons, Freddy L. Sharp and B.J. and wife, Dallas Sharp both of Traskwood, sister, Sarah Kinard and husband, Jerry of Brooksville, Mississippi,brother, Mack Sharp and wife, Wanda of Tull, mother, Edna Trimm Ussery of Brooksville, Mississippi, grandchildren, Jonathan and Alexa Sharp, Heather and Kameron Williams, Kayden and Kamden Stewart. Chapel Services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10 a.m. Monday with Pastor Jason Kiesler officiating. Burial will follow at Traskwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Ashby Funeral Home. On line guestbook at www.ashbyfuneralhome.com. Billy was a special person, who never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by the community and family.
