Charles David Wilkerson

Charles David Wilkerson, age 68, died June 17, 2015, in his home in Rogers. David was born on June 7, 1947 in Rogers to the late James Thomas (Tom) and Jonnie (Malone) Wilkerson. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1965 and joined the US Air Force, in early June where he became an Air Traffic Controller. After serving 3 ½ years, he was honorably discharged and returned to Northwest Arkansas to attend the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville on the GI Bill. David graduated from the U of A in 1973, with a Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance. For the following 17 years, he worked in management for Pizza Hut before returning to Rogers to farm his cattle. He loved animals, especially his cattle and cats. He also loved a good round of golf. David was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He is survived by a sister, Patsy Sooter of Bentonville; a brother, Dr. Danny Wilkerson (Sue Ellen) of Little Rock; 2 nephews, Chris Sooter (Wendy) of Bentonville and Alex Wilkerson of Memphis; two great-nephews, Blake and Sam Sooter of Bentonville; and a host of friends and extended relatives. There will be a graveside service at a later date in Tuck's Chapel Cemetery in Rogers.
