Dorothy Marie Hoggard

Dorothy Marie Hoggard, 93, of White Hall, died Thursday, June 18, 2015. She was born October 15, 1921 in Naylor, Arkansas, daughter of John Thomas and Nona Adkisson Blaney. Mrs. Hoggard was reared and received her early education in Faulkner County, graduating from Enola High School in 1941. She worked at the Pinecrest Cotton Mill and the Pine Bluff Arsenal for several years, retiring in 1984. Mrs. Hoggard was a member of First Baptist Church of White Hall, where she was a member of the "Young at Heart" Senior Citizens group. She enjoyed crochet work and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Hoggard also loved holidays. She was known for her coconut cakes and pies, which she shared with her friends and family. Mrs. Hoggard was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Hoggard, whom she married July 14, 1941; parents; two sisters, Oretta Graham and Juanita Holliman; and infant brother, J.T. Blaney Jr. Survivors include four daughters, Sue Chambers of North Little Rock, Judi Tull of Mt. Dora, Florida, Vicky Ruch (Michael) of Plano, Texas and Randa Edwards (Steve) of Pine Bluff; sister, Delma Parnell of Pine Bluff; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild due in December; and her caregiver, Frankie Cain. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015 at First Baptist Church of White Hall with Dr. Bob Harper, Reverend Paul Williams and Reverend Jim Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in White Hall United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
