Betty French

Betty Sue French, 82, of Jacksonville passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015. She was born September 10, 1932 in McCroy, Arkansas to Luther and Minnie Cheatham Upchurch. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot and retired from the Employment Security Division. Betty loved to sing and was in the church choir. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Mike) Barnard; two grandchildren, Graeme Methvin and Tony Barnard; and three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Ayleigh and Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Cleo Upchurch and two sisters, Stella Kissinger and Cloy Mae Raper. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 1022, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72115 or your local animal shelter. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot.
