Marilyn Jane "Mumsy" Snow, age 80, passed away at home on June 20, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born April 23, 1935 in Frankfort, KY to Ruby Murphy Lisle and Roy Lisle. She was preceded in death by Atticus Ferrell "Hank" Snow, her husband of 59 years; her parents, her sister Wanda Lisle Stamper and her brother Roy Wayne Lisle. She was just 14 and Hank was 16 when they met on Labor Day in 1949 and it was love at first sight! She was a child bride at age 17 when Hank enlisted in the Air Force. As a military wife, she accomplished the unenviable task of moving her young family to 14 different cities in eight different states and two different countries in 20 years on a shoestring budget! The kids had a blast and were blissfully unaware of her herculean efforts that made it all possible! After Hank retired from the military, they settled in Jacksonville, Ark. She was employed for 21 years as an executive secretary for Power Equipment Company, where she met her best friend, Dusty White, who shared her wry sense of humor. She was a gracious lady who was known for her delicious cooking, her love for animals and her impeccable home decor. She had a way of making people feel loved and accepted. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Horton, David Snow [and his wife Shawn], Lisa Snow and Daniel Snow. She always sacrificed for her kids, especially her youngest, Daniel who was born with cerebral palsy. She was his devoted caretaker until her recent health decline. Her passing has left a vacuum in our hearts that will someday be filled with gratitude that this special lady was in our lives. The family would like to thank Dr Prabhat Hebbar and Arkansas Hospice Foundation for their caring and dedication. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maumelle Friends of the Animals at PO Box 13061 Maumelle, Ark. 72113 or Arkansas Hospice Foundation 14 Parkstone NLR 72116. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery in North Little Rock.
