Sidney David Sneed

Sidney David Sneed, age 75, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on June 20th 2015. He was born July 15th, 1939 in Horatio, Arkansas to Thomas "Bud" and Kate Sneed. After high school he joined the Army, before completing his education at Southern State University. After college, he devoted 36 years to serving the senior citizens of Arkansas as the Executive Director of the Area Agency on Aging of Southwest Arkansas until he retired in 2008. During that time, Mr. Sneed received numerous awards and recognitions for his work from the local, state, and federal levels. Mr. Sneed was an avid outdoors-man. He loved hunting, fishing, working in his garden, and watching the football. All those who knew him enjoyed and will miss his wonderful joke and story telling abilities. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Laneburg, Arkansas, and a member of the Democratic Party. Visitation is 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 24th, 2015 at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Service to follow at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 24th, 2015, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel with Bro. Neil Ridling officiating. Burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope, Arkansas.
