Wilma Arleen Young

Wilma Arlene Francis Young (nicknamed "Sis") died peacefully in Bentonville, Arkansas on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the age of 88. Wilma was born on December 7, 1926 in Collins, Mo. to her late parents George and Lillian Francis. She married Charles Ray Young and raised her three children in Arkansas. Wilma was a generous woman who was an active and devoted member of the Southside Church of Christ in Rogers. She was a Sunday school teacher and enjoyed volunteering her time at the church. Wilma is survived by her three children: Charles Wade Young and wife Cindy Young, Roger Young, Nancy Young Payton and husband Ron Payton. Her six grandchildren Kim Brown, Erica Fuller, Nicole Young, Michael Young, Erin Hicks, and Jessica Payton. Her three siblings Betty Martin, George "Junior" Francis, Ronnie Francis and wife Della Sue Francis. She had six nieces and seven nephews. Wilma is preceded in death by spouse Charles Ray Young; Her five siblings; Jean Francis, Ralph Francis, Marilyn Frankum, Bobby Joe Francis, and Joyce Lichtenberger. A graveside service is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Wednesday June 24th at Greenlawn Cemetery in Springfield, Mo. Greenlawn Funeral Home will officiate at the ceremony. Flowers and gifts are not necessary as your thoughts and prayers are enough. However, if you would like to donate to the Alzheimer's Association, we have set up a memorial page in her honor.
