Carl Cupit

Carl Cupit, 86, of Morrilton, passed away, Sunday, June 21, 2015. He was born December 6, 1928 in Brummett (Lonoke) county, Arkansas, a son of Jim Cupit and Alberta Beggs Cupit. Carl was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Air Force previous to spending his entire work history (33 years) as a test engineer for International Harvester in Chicago, spending the last three years of his career in Mexico City, Mexico, helping to set up a manufacturing plant. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Morrilton. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of eight years, Jean Jones Cupit of Morrilton; son, Randy (Hazel) Carter of Alexandria, Virginia; daughter, Sandy (Jim) Donnelly of Chicago, Illinois; brother, Johnny (Kim) Cupit of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; sisters, Mary Ruth (Dale) Wilson of Panana Beach City, Florida and Jean Rubach of Stuttgart, Arkansas; two step daughters, Carol (Ray) Burt and Eddie (Don) Dixon, both of Morrilton; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, and the mothers of his children. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 25th at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Harris Funeral Home in Morrilton. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 101 E.
