Carolyn Holmes Reaves

Carolyn Gray Holmes Featherston Reaves, age 94, of Redfield, died, June 18, 2015. Born August 10, 1920 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late George and Alleen Niemeyer Holmes, she grew up in Rison, where she lived for many years. Her first husband, Major Marshall Poe Featherston, U.S.A.F, a son, John Thomas Featherston, and a grandson, Matthew George Featherston also predeceased her. She was the Valedictorian at Rison High School in 1938, and a Representative to the Arkansas Silver Haired Legislative Session, 1994. Survivors: children, Sam Featherston, Little Rock, Cindy Wetzig, Belleville, Illinois, Fran Featherston, Arlington, Virginia; siblings, Martha Greenwood, of Illinois, Frances McClain of Georgia, Joe Holmes of Pine Bluff; and grandsons, Marshall Featherston, Josh Wetzig, John Wetzig. Visitation: Thursday, 5-7 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South in Pine Bluff. Funeral services: Friday June 26, 2015, 10:30 a.m., Fuller Hale-South Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery at Rison.
