Martha Louise Brown
Martha Louise Brown Hopkins, 76, of Shannon Hills, Arkansas, died Monday, June 22, 2015, after losing her battle to Dementia. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on February 26, 1939, to Thomas and Della Holland Brown.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Regina F. Hill-Bolarjack. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Hopkins of 43 years, of Shannon Hills, one son, Gerald Hopkins (Sharon) of Sheridan, her sisters Darenda Hill of Conway, Shirlene Chumbler of Oppelo, and her brother, Doyan Brown (Debbie) of Perry, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, three grandchildren, Catherine "Catie" F. Hubbard of Russellville, and Dalton T. & Deven R. Hopkins, both of Sheridan.
Martha enjoyed singing gospel songs with her siblings. She was a professional seamstress, where she owned and operated Martha's Creations & Custom Draperies in West Little Rock for many years. After retirement, she enjoyed cooking, spending time with her grandkids, and time with family at cookouts and events. Nan's hotcakes were a special favorite, according to Dalton.
Arrangements are being made by Rosewood Cremation & Funeral of Morrilton. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015, 2:00p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 1849 Hwy. 10 West, Adona, Arkansas. The family will be at 410 North Main in Sheridan, and following the service they will be in Perry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arkansas Hospice.
