Leta Myles Boone Franklin, 76, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015. She was born April 22, 1939 in Wynne, Arkansas to the late George and Eva Boone. In addition to Wynne, Mrs. Franklin lived in Memphis, Tenn., Spokane, Wash., Denver, Colo. and Pittsburg, Kan., spending the last 35 years in Rogers. A self-taught genealogist, she was dedicated and tireless in her study, research and publication of the Boone lineage and family tree. Additionally, she was an accomplished gardener, avid antique preservationist and collector, and a lifelong student of American History and Politics. Lastly, she was always, always, proud to be an Arkansan. Leta was a beautiful mother who provided unyielding love and support. She taught her son grace, beauty, humor, kindness and strength. Her son is forever grateful to his mother. Leta was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Franklin, two sisters, Becky Gatlin and Bonnie Boone, and one brother, John Boone. Mrs. Franklin is survived by one son, Adam Franklin, resident of California, and two sisters, Clara Henson and Trudy Boone, as well as, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
