Russell Harrison Hall

Russell Harrison Hall, of Fayetteville, Ark., died June 22, 2015. Russell was born to Vernon Lloyd and Frances Elizabeth Louise (Rose) Hall. Russell devoted his life to providing for his family. He enjoyed hunting, deep sea fishing, gardening, grilling and bread baking. In younger years, he may be remembered for his athletic achievements, lettering in all three sports, as a Fayetteville High School Bulldog in the late 1960's. He played on the All-State and All-American football teams, and then as a Razorback at the University of Arkansas. Professionally, he was a senior lineman at SWEPCO for 17 years, until he started his own high voltage electrical contracting business, Skyline Services. He successfully operated Skyline for over 20 years until he sold the business and retired. Russell also volunteered many years to Round Mountain Fire Department, serving as a Board Member and as President. In later years, he served the Beach Club Community in Gulf Shores, Ala., on the Catalina Board. Russell never refused help to anyone in need and was always first to assist his family and neighbors, in the Wyman Community. Russell loved the Lord and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and then of First Baptist Church of Fayetteville. Russell is survived by his wife of 15 years, Joanne Buelt Hall; his three daughters, Alisa Maree Duncan and husband, Daniel; Jennifer Rose Hall; Sarah Adair Wood and husband, Ross; Joanne's children, Sarah Khan and husband, Anwar; Brian Stuart and wife, Denise Frances Stuart; and Mike Stuart and wife, Lauren Harris Stuart. He was "Papa" to twelve grandchildren, including Alisa's sons, Austin Russell Bushong and Alex Thomas Bushong; and Sarah's daughter, Savannah Maree Wood. Other grandchildren include Ariana and Tyler Khan (Sarah Khan); Evelyn, Natalie and Lucas Stuart (Brian Stuart); Dylan and Madeleine Stuart (Mike Stuart); Aaron Bushong and Brandon Duncan. His surviving siblings include Steven Hall and wife, Barbara; Kathleen O'Brien and husband Ed; Thomas Hall; and Patrick Hall and wife, Cathy. Russell is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years and mother of his daughters, Donna Maree Walker Hall; by his parents, Vernon Lloyd Hall and Frances Elizabeth Louise (Rose) Hall; and by his sister, Linda Faye (Hall) Dingman. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, Ark., with burial in Round Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel. Eric Roberts will be officiating. After services, family and friends are invited to visit with the Hall Family at Courtyard by Marriott, located at 600 Van Asche in Fayetteville, from 12:30-3 p.m. In accordance with Russell's wishes, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project are requested in lieu of flowers.
