Mabel G. Williams, 96, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away June 27, 2015. She was born February 4, 1919, in Mire Creek, Arkansas, to the late John B. and Bessie Ann (McGrew) Baldwin. Mabel was a very faithful member of First Assembly of God Church of Arkadelphia. She truly loved her Lord and most every day you could find her reading her Bible. Mabel is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James H. Williams; and six brothers. Survivors include her step-son, John Williams (Kathy) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; step-daughters, Polly Nichols (Tom) of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Melinda Fran of Yuma, Arizona; sister, Virginia Ann Ables of Hot Springs, Arkansas; eight step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, including a "special niece", Janie Lanier. Visitation will be 12 noon Thursday with service following at 1 p.m. at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Nathan Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers include the nurses and staff of Mt. Carmel Community Assisted Living in Benton, Arkansas and the nurses and staff of Baptist Health Hospice.
