Herbert "Buddy" Beauguard Bogy

Herbert Beauguard "Buddy" Bogy, 87, of Wabbaseka died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 in Little Rock. He was born Sept. 5, 1927 in Jefferson County, son of Dave C. and Lula Ann Flate Bogy. Mr. Bogy was reared and received his early education in Jefferson County. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Bogy worked at Elms Farming Company, retiring as farm manager after 36 years. He was a member of Humphrey Baptist Church. Mr. Bogy was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joe Bogy, Estes Bogy and Belton Bogy; and three sisters, Edna Lynch, Edith Fowler and Ethel Darby. Survivors include his loving wife, Juanita Cox Bogy, whom he married June 24, 1950 in Mississippi; son, Ronnie Bogy (Kathy) of Humphrey and Steve Bogy of Wabbaseka; granddaughter, LaDawna Beliew (Michael) of Humphrey; grandson, Christopher Bogy (Brandy) of Humphrey; great-granddaughter, Kelbi Voumard and great-grandson, Logan Bogy, both of Humphrey; three step-grandchildren, Regan, Ryan and Jacob Beliew; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Joe Meador officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Bayou Cemetery.
