Lorraine Ernestine Hilliard Jordan

LORRAINE ERNESTINE HILLIARD JORDAN was born on July 21, 1923 in Little Rock, Ark. to Benjamin Harrison Hilliard and Elnora Hewitt Hilliard. She departed this earthly plane on Feb. 21, 2015. Mrs. Jordan was a retired elementary school teacher and a devoted member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Little Rock since 1932. Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leslie Waddell Jordan, Sr., she is survived by a daughter, Dr. Sybil Jordan Hampton (Alfred) and a son, Leslie W. Jordan, Jr. (Esther), Pacifica, California Family Hour, 6-7 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 815 West 16th Street, Little Rock. Burial 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, Mount Holly Cemetery followed by memorial service at 11 a.m., Bethel A.M.E., Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Leslie W. and Lorraine H. Jordan Charitable Endowment at the Arkansas Community Foundation, 1400 West Markham, Suite 206, Little Rock, Ark. 72201.
