Esby Junior Keeland, a resident of Springdale, Arkansas, was born May 2, 1930 in Enon, Arkansas, son of William Esby and Alice Serelda (Goodnight) Keeland. He departed this life Monday, March 02, 2015 in Springdale, at the age of 84 years. Esby worked as a truck driver hauling furniture. He was a member of Hickory Flatt Church in Springdale and enjoyed gardening. On March 3, 1949, Esby was united in marriage with Naomi Nadine (Frazier) Keeland who survives him of the home. He is also survived by daughter, Joyce Ellison of Nixa, Mo.; son, Randy Keeland and wife Natti of Santa Maria, Calif.; son, Bob Keeland and wife Joy of Arnaudville, La.; daughter, Glenda and husband Philip Matney of Springdale, Ark.; son, Bryan Keeland and wife Zoe of Highlandville, Mo.; brother, Jerry Dean Keeland and wife Twilla of Oak Grove, Ark.; 10 grandchildren: Misty and husband Kevin Wofford, megan Ellison, Jennifer Keeland, Heather Keeland, Eli Keeland, Nicole Canady, Natosha and husband Glenn West, Carolyn and husband Joe Blanks, Michelle Metz, and Yosie Keeland; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones. Esby was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice Keeland; son, Russell Gene Keeland; brother, Eugene Keeland; sister, Rose Barbara Keeland; and son-in-law, Donnie Ellison. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Terry Easterling and Brother Freddy Blevins officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Blue Eye Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
