George "Wally" Wallace Durley

George "Wally" Wallace Durley, 65, of Cabot went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, March 2, 2015 in North Little Rock. He was born September 3, 1949 in Pine Bluff to the late George William and Lucille Jenkins Durley. Mr. Durley retired after nearly 30 years of service to his country in the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant, 189th Airlift Wing at Little Rock Air Force Base. He was an aircraft electrician and Environmental Systems Technician on C130 aircraft. He loved doing anything outdoors including hunting, fishing, camping and horseback riding, but he especially loved turkey hunting. He also played the guitar and mandolin and enjoyed listening to gospel blue grass music. Wally loved eating Cheetos and watching Fox News with his dog, Zoey (Zobo). Wally loved Maggie, Diane and Faith with all his heart. Wally was a devoted Christian from the time he was nine years old until he finished the race. Mr. Durley is survived by his wife and best friend of 46 years, Maggie Durley, his daughter, Diane Boyer and her husband, Jim of Sherwood, a granddaughter, Faith, who was his "Boogie Boo" and held a very special place in his heart and life. Wally is also survived by his sister, Nancy Webb and her husband, Bud, of Collierville, Tennessee, his brothers; William "Bill" Durley and his wife, Trevia of McKinney, Texas, and Joe Durley and his wife, Deloris, of Chicago, Illinois, brother-in-law, Robert Young of Humble, Texas and three nephews and seven nieces. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816.
