Myra Kay Gunderson Dukes

Myra Kay Gunderson Dukes, 65, of El Paso, Arkansas, died February 28, 2015. She was a loving mother of four children. She traveled America as one of the first women truck drivers. She was a pioneer in the truck driving industry. Myra loved crafting, gardening and playing games with her grandchildren, and had a love of reading. She is survived by her husband, Richard Elmo Dukes; two sons, Larry Gunderson of Missouri and Michael AuCoin of Arkansas; two daughters, Michelle Charleston of the U.S. Air Force in Alaska; Cynthia Bratlie of Arkansas; four stepchildren, Chris Dukes, Dusty Dukes, Mike Dukes and Jade Dukes, all of Oregon; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Monte Gunderson of California, Leslie Gunderson of Texas, Alvin Gunderson of California; Lee Gunderson of Oregon, Bobbie Bajema of California, Leroy Gunderson of California, and Dean Gunderson of California. She was preceded in death by one sister, Alice Fogle, and one granddaughter, Shannika Perrine. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015, at Smith - Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
