Donna Corballis

On Tuesday afternoon, March 3, 2015, Donna Kay (Richey) Corballis, left this world a beautiful person both inside and out despite being challenged by one sickness after another but still not able to break her. Her strength to overcome any adversity was an inspiration to all and will be missed dearly. She wasn't just my wife, she was my best friend. She was born in Benton Arkansas at Saline Memorial Hospital on February 26th, 1957 to the late Don and Wilma Richey who were the best mother and father in-laws I could have ever wished for. She is survived by her husband Tim Corballis and a sister, Janis Boersma of Jackson, Mississippi. After high school, she worked in Little Rock as a fitness instructor aide at Harry Brace's Roman Spa before travelling to Kansas then to California before settling in Seaside, California. She worked as a bartender in a restaurant owned by ex L.A. Ram football player John Hannah and made great tips and even pulling out a small squid that was placed in her tip jar as a joke. But as destiny would have it, she came back to Arkansas to live and spent the final years of her parent's life closer to home where I was the fortunate man to be married to for 13 years, 3 months and 2 days. It was often like a whirlwind never knowing what was going to come up next but also the most wonderful years of my life. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 7th at Ashby's Funeral Home in Benton. The family asks that you dress casual. I would like to personally beg each and every one of you that have a loved one to appreciate each and every moment that you have together because it could end way too soon because of unforeseen death. The immense sadness we feel is from missing the friendship and love that she gave so freely, but it also makes me happy that she left this world the same sweet "Angel" that will surely be rewarded in the next life.
