Maya Macon Austin, 37, Alexander, Ark. departed this life March 4. She was born to Gloria (Acklin) Macon and the late Louie Macon on March 18, 1977 in Little Rock, Ark. Maya graduated from Philander Smith College with a BS degree in Applied Music and was a preschool teacher at Dream Academy. She is survived by her husband, Marcus Austin of Alexander, Ark.; children Isis, Osiris and Seth Austin, all of Denver, Colo.; mother Gloria Macon, Mayflower; siblings, Francine Canady, Michelle Delph, Yolanda Rhine, Talisa Bynum, Darrell Fuller, Louie Macon Jr., Jerry Paul Robinson. Funeral services 2 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, 601 Spruce Street, Conway, Ark. Visitation: 5-7 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
