Herb Lambert

Herb Lambert passed away on February 28, 2015 in Haughton, La. after a brief illness. He was born August 20, 1946 to the late Neal and Pearl Lambert. Herb grew up in Vilonia, Ark. He graduated from Vilonia High School and from State College of Arkansas, (UCA). He also had been a member of the National Guard. Herb was an avid outdoorsman loving hunting, fishing, camping, and working with race horses. He had been an employee of Louisiana Downs for over 20 years. In Louisiana, Herb is survived by his life partner, Betty Matthews, and children, Brian Jackson and Kimberly Mitchell and their families. In Arkansas, Herb is survived by his brother, Tom Lambert and wife Debbie, niece, Laurie Andrews of Colorado, and nephew, Michael Lambert of Washington, D.C. There will be a Memorial service at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9 at the Winner's Circle Chapel. at Louisiana Downs, officiated by Chaplain Jimmy Sistrunk.
