James Leonard Norrell

James Leonard "Dick" Norrell, age 94, of Dermott, previously of Eudora, passed away, Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Dermott Nursing Home in Dermott, Arkansas. He was born August 15, 1920 in Mississippi to the late James Richard Norrell and Wynona Carlton Norrell. He was a WWII Army Air Force veteran, and a member of Lake Village Presbyterian Church in Lake Village. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Luther, Tom, John, and Bobby, three sisters, Velma, Effie, and Rubye. Survivors are a son, Joseph Leonard Norrell and wife, Jennifer of Sugar Land, Texas; three grandchildren, Jeffery Lee Norrell and wife, Aimee of Columbia, South Carolina, Meredith Bland and husband, Jimmy of Cedar Park, Texas, and Richard Rinehart and wife, Carmen of Jakarta, Indonesia; four great-grandchildren, Maia, Rhys, Thomas, and Patrick; and host of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation is 9 a.m.-10 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 with Memorial Services following at 11 a.m. at Lake Village Presbyterian Church with Pastor Kay Childs-Travis officiating. Burial of Cremains will be at a later time in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lake Village Presbyterian Church or Lake Village Food Bank.
