Lois Mae Turnage

Lois Mae Turnage, 78, of Lonoke, died Thursday, March 5, 2015. She was born May 17, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, Ill. to John and Edith (Bolton) Bodine. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Charles Turnage; one son, Tommy (Janet) Turnage; two daughters, Terri Dortch, Tracy (Gordon) Henderson; three sisters, Brenda Tokarz, Evelyn Sausamn, Patsy Richie; three brothers, George Bodine, David Bodine, Bill Bodine; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie, Josh, Jodi, Jordan, Jaci; seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Barbara Cain; two brothers, Johnny Bodine and Jim Bodine. Lois grew up in the Northside community and attended school at Griffithville. She later dedicated her life to being an outstanding mother, wife and grandmother. Visitation is Tuesday, March 10 1-2 p.m. at Garth Funeral Home with funeral services immediately following at the funeral home. Burial will be in Welcome Home Cemetery. Dr. Melvin York officiating.
