Nancy Carol Johnson, 76, of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2015. Mrs. Johnson was born Oct. 24, 1938 in Glendale (Lincoln County), Ark. to the late W A and Ruby Via Jacobs. She attended school for 12 years at Glendale, graduating from Glendale High School in 1956 where she was valedictorian of her class. She was an avid basketball player and was voted to the All-State team her senior year. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church and her church choir which she dearly loved. Her survivors include her husband of 58 years, Jimmy G Johnson, whom she married April 20, 1957 in Glendale; two sons, James Michael Johnson (Sandy) of Tulsa, Okla., Mark A Johnson of Harrison, Ark.; one daughter, Leigh Ann Johnson of Harrison; four grandchildren, Jacob Johnson of Springdale, Ark., Christopher Johnson of Memphis, Tenn., Lauren Johnson of Memphis, Jordan Johnson of Harrison; one brother, Harris A Jacobs (Pat) of Benton; one sister, Barbara Hutcheson (David) of Pine Bluff; and daughter-in-law, Amy Walker Johnson of Pine Bluff. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Annette Moss; and one son, Danny G Johnson. Services are Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Prosperity Cemetery in Cleveland County with Reverend Todd Howard officiating, directed by Ralph Robinson & Son.
