Betty Jeanne McGilberry

Betty Jeanne McGilberry, 93, of Rogers passed away Thursday, March 5th. She was born May 29, 1921 in Merced, California to the late Clifford and Mary Roduner Blauert. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her only child, Kathleen "Katie" Cline. Following graduation from San Diego State University with a BA in Home Economics and certification in Dietetics from Highland Alameda Hospital, she began her decades long career in California, and then in the Panama Canal Zone. It was there that she met, then married the love of her life Frank Glen McGilberry; who piloted ships through the Panama Canal. They retired to Rogers where she was active in the Central United Methodist Church where she headed-up wedding receptions, the Beaver Lake Breeze Lovers Sail Club and is remembered for entertaining friends, cooking and baking. She is survived by her son-in-law, Gary Cline of Centerton. A committal service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, with entombment to follow in Benton County Memorial Park.
