Calvin Eugene Davenport, 86, of Hot Springs passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015. He was a dedicated Christian. Cal retired from Save A Stop, Inc., in 1991. His favorite hobby was being lead singer and guitarist for "Cal and The Drovers" country western band. He is survived by his sons, Steve (Marcia) Davenport; and Mike (Patricia) Davenport; five grandchildren, Matthew Davenport (Nikki), Ryan Davenport (Christy), David Davenport (Nicole), Paige Gaither (Mitchell) and Blake Davenport (Hannah); nine great-grandchildren, Mady, Tucker, Hudson, Drew, Brooks, Abby, Aaron and Aliyah Davenport and Ross Gaither; and two brothers, Kenneth and Wayne Davenport. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Odelia Cobb Davenport and his wife, Erma Lee Davenport. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caregivers at Garrett Manor and St. Vincent Mercy, 3rd Floor in Hot Springs. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., at Davis-Smith Funeral Home in Hot Springs. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park in Hot Springs.
