Douglas E. Guterman, 85, of Lonoke passed away Monday, March 9, 2015. He served in the Naval Reserves and was called into active duty and flew patrol planes during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He spent his entire career devoted to the electrical industry and even invented and patented Atlas Cable Tray. Doug traveled extensively to 49 states and 80 countries. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Meier Guterman; two sons, Mark Guterman (Fay) and Keith Guterman (Sue); daughter-in-law, Laura Guterman; three grandchildren, Krista, Kim and Tyler; twelve nieces and nephews and six great-nieces and nephews; three brothers-in-law, Allen (Brenda), Gary (Susan) and David (Judith) Meier. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Helen Resch Guterman and the mother of his children, Patricia Guterman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 1111 West Markham St., Little Rock, Arkansas 72201.
